"The Mighty Civic" Peter Wells and Stewart Main’s wondrous film of the Civic Theatre, made in 1989, launching the Friends of the Civic and the campaign to save the theatre.
Jim Manley´s historic film of the building of the Civic Theatre. This film has been faithfully restored by George Farrant, and depicts the building of the Civic Theatre from the first excavations on the site! The original script has been used, and the Civic Wurlitzer is featured on the sound track. The film is in black and white and is an unique legacy of the incredibly speedy construction of this historic icon.
